Club Announcements

A Special "Thank You" to Our Members
It is with sincere gratitude that I thank the many of you who contributed to the holiday fund for Club Staff. In these tough economic times, the annual bonus is a wonderful benefit to our employees. The fund is open for contributions year round and paid out in December to the staff, so it's never too early or late to make a donation to recognize the valuable contributions of The Army and Navy Club team. Thank you for your generosity in allowing the holiday fund to continue to provide for our staff and their families during the holiday season.

Important Billing Information
If your account is set up on automatic billing (account balance is paid automatically by credit card), please be sure the Accounting Office has the most current billing information. Please review your credit card number and expiration date to verify the information is current.

The Accounting Office is unable to contact members when a credit card is declined due to the volume of credit cards that are processed. In order to ensure that your status remains in good standing at all times, a valid credit card number and expiration date must be kept on file. Please contact Alexis Bryan on (202) 628-8400 ext. 359 or email abryan@armynavyclub.org to report any changes.

Automatic billing is processed on the 25th of the month except when the 25th is a holiday or a weekend. All changes must be in place before the 25th in order for your account balance to be auto-billed.

If you would like to enroll your account in automatic billing or if there are any special circumstances you would like to discuss, please contact Alexis Bryan. Thank you for your cooperation and continued patronage of the Club.

Raddatz Book Forum
The Long Road Home
by Martha Raddatz

Wednesday, January 11, 2012
Wine & Cheese - 6:30 p.m. | Speaker - 7 p.m.
Free of Charge

The Long Road Home tells the story of a brutal 48 hour firefight, conveying in harrowing detail the effects of war not just on the soldiers but also on the families waiting back at home.

The firefight in Sadr City marked the beginning of the Iraqi insurgency and Martha Raddatz has written a riveting account of hand-to-hand combat to emerge from the war in Iraq.

This intimate portrait of the close-knit community of families Stateside and the unsung heroes of the military, distinguishes The Long Road Home from other stories of modern warfare, showing the horror, terror, bravery, and fortitude not just of the soldiers who were wounded and killed but also of the wives and children whose lives now are forever changed. Make reservations online or by calling Elizabeth Juskie at
