That's a technique. Since we all know that 'pigs/pork' are something they detest and a major insult and offensive to them.

Do whatever you think is necessary.

Put pig's grease on your bullets, dump pig's grease on the dead, chop 'em up and feed them to the local dogs.

But don't put it on the internet.

I think the ultimate 'insult' is a 7.62mm round to the forehead.

"One shot, one kill". What a great motto.

They should have discretely dumped a pan full of nice greasy pork chops on top of this the enemy and any other downed enemy instead of urinating on him.

Jim,

               I have to disagree.

I don't have a problem with someone pissing on the enemy.

I just don't think it's smart (in this day and age) to take a photo of your actions and put it on the internet.

If you HAVE to piss on them. Do what you have to do, spread the word around town (tell everybody what you did), become a 'folk hero', but don't share it with the WORLD in a photo or on the internet.

You know someone in the Press or someone in the Government or DoD will make this a major issue and come after you. I hear this photo identified two of the team members and I'm sure they will come up on some kind of charges.

It's like the Abu Ghraib Prison incident. Pose for photos with the prisoners, have some fun, and do what you need to do, BUT don't put it on the internet. No/no one would have ever heard of that 'session' if they kept it off of the internet.

Besides, when you get a 'head shot' from 500 yards take some photos, do a victory dance, but why do something that can be considered 'negative'.

You know the deal - one 'aw shit' can wipe out 100 'at a boys'.

Plus, let's focus on the kills and show that we are a superior fighting force, and we are killing their fighters at will.

Don't give the Muslim world and all of the 'tree huggers' ammunition so they can speak negatively of our military and our service members.

Why not/not a photo with the caption: "Marine sniper team inspects Taliban fighters that they'd just killed from 500 meters by single shots to the head".

               Don't feed the "propaganda machine".

Feed their FEAR (US military can destroy the enemy with a single shot and the Taliban never knows what hits them or where the shot comes from).

I think there is a good example of what I'm trying to say in the first Gulf War. When the US Air Force pilots strafed the convoy they destroyed all of the Iraqi vehicles. The Press showed the shot-out and burnt-out vehicles with their dead passengers in place 'shot-up' and 'burnt-up'.

To me, that was victorious film footage. It showed how the superior US military destroyed the second rate Iraqi military formation destroying all of their vehicles and killing all of the their soldiers in one 'sortie' (attack).

That was a WIN. That was WAR. That was a VICTORY. No/no one in the Press can change what happened.

I don't think I ever heard any 'fall out' or criticism of the US military concerning that attack.

I don't want to sound like a 'softy', but once upon a time the Press was patriotic, pro-military, and ON OUR SIDE.

You could piss in the Rhine River. You could 'blow up' or 'pull down' a statue of the leader whose country you just 'overran'.

You could take something 'special' from the battlefield that would look good in your team room, your headquarters or your unit's museum.

However, today it appears that all of this good 'fun' and celebration of your victory on the battlefield has now become so 'negative' or 'anti-US military'.

It's all part of that terrible thing called "Political Correctness".

I say, beat them at their game. Do your job, kill the enemy, and focus on your victory and have the Press report the facts.

Don't give them an opening where they could find 'fault' or something 'negative' to feed their anti-military agenda.

As you mentioned, a Navy SEALs successfully completes his mission, does a great job, but someone will focus on him 'giving the enemy a fat lip'. Hell, beat his ass. Just do it where others can't see it happen.

You also know that we have a Congressman who got into hot water over something that he did that benefited his soldiers in Iraq (shooting a round 'next' to the enemy fighter's head to 'scare the shit out of him' and get him to 'spill his guts' and give up valuable information).

It made it to the Press and he took some major heat. I think he was relieved.

Or, there was the Marine who raped a young girl in Okinawa and was sent to the Brig. A senior naval officer at PACOM Headquarters in Honolulu was quoted as saying something like, "that doesn't make sense, why didn't he just go downtown and pay for a hooker".

I think that also got him relieved (for saying something many people may have been thinking).

Hell, I see high school, college and professional football players being penalized for 'excessive celebration' after a touchdown. How is that possible. You should be proud to score on the opposing team. Like General Patton said in his speech, "America loves a winner".

It's a different world, and we all have to adjust.

NOTE: Whatever you choose to do in life (especially in this day and age) --- please understand that someone is using a cell phone or camera or some nearby security camera is recording your actions, and that 'proof' of your actions may be used against you in a court of law.

               Just my two cents.

Jimmy

What in the hell is going on here - since when is it such a big deal when our troops, Marines, piss on a few dead Taliban? These are the same bunch of sorry, goat herdering, AHs who don't wear a uniform, kill and torture their own people, and torture and behead our troops and we're supposed to be shocked and feel sorry because we pissed on the dead SOBs? YGTBSM! We should be cutting off a few heads ourselves while we're at it. Except for keeping a few alive for intell purposes I think we should take any prisoners we capture, line them up against the wall, and shoot the SOBs. They don't want to wear a military uniform with rank and patches that identify them then they should be treated accordingly.

If we had a CinC in the WH with a pair of balls instead of a dipshit, Muslim/Marxist from Kenya we would have turned our troops loose early on to shot, bayonet, behead, bomb, blast with artillery, as many of the SOBs as they could - included going after them in Pakistan, Iran and any other place we could find the bastards. The damn war would have been over years ago. Instead of treating our Marines like criminals we should be passing out medals for killing the enemy.

Gen. Patton made a big deal out of pissing in the Rhine River in the 3rd Army's drive into Nazi Germany. So did Winston Churchill. I wouldn't be surprised if Patton didn't piss on a few dead Germans, too. I'm sure there were dead Germans floating in the river at the time. I'll bet old Chesty Puller pissed on a few dead Japs in the Pacific during WWII. Unless we quit pussyfooting arond with these Afghan Muslim SOBs out to kill us and kill them instead they'll wind up burying us. Put my name on the list for not giving a rat's ass if our troops piss on a few dead Taliban. I say a job well done - keep it up! And for the Marines - Semper Fi troops from an old, Green Beret who did more than piss on a few dead VC and NVA duirng the Vietnam War.

The mission of our military is to close with and destroy or capture the enemy - nothing has changed except the sorry AHs running the country and the military won't let the troops do their jobs anymore. They're more interested in turning the military into a bunch of faggots and lesbians and women who like to act like men and to hell with the mission, good order and discipline. I've lost track of the number of "Kangaroo" courts set up to stab our combat troops in the back - remember the Navy Seals who were brought up on charges for giving a terrorist a fat lip? When is the last time we've ever heard the word "Victory" from the leaders of the country? "Cut and Run" has made a comeback and plans are underway to cut the defense budget and gut the military while we're still fighting a war. What get me most is that the AHs in the WH and Congress are all upset about our troops pissing on a few dead Taliban while they're pissing on the entire military. In case there's anyone out there who disagrees with me I say politely, "Frankly my Dear I don't give a Damn!" To say it bluntly, "Up Yours!"

Col. Jim Miles TXSG Ret.
