To: Me Sent: Thursday, January 26, 2012 6:32 PM Subject: The Whiskey Tango Foxtrot version of the Wuterich Trial/ Sentencing All,I spent the past few weeks attending the General Court Martial (GCM) of Frank Wuterich down at Camp Pendleton and most of the past 5 and  years observing and supporting the Haditha and Hamdania Marine cases. The last Haditha persecution came to a screeching halt on Monday when Frank agreed to a deal to plead guilty to dereliction of duty.
24th Jan 2012 the judge, Col. David Jones, pronounced sentence on Frank Wuterich for his actions on 19th Nov 2005 in Haditha. Judge Jones sentenced Frank to the maximum of 90 days in the brig and reduction to Private (E1), thankfully Frank will not serve any jail time.
The original murder charges Frank faced were reduced to manslaughter some years ago and the plea to dereliction of duty meant the manslaughter charges were completely dropped. The dereliction of duty charge stemmed from the âshoot first ask questions laterâ phrase that Frank uttered sometime after the IED exploded and killed LCpl Miguel Terrazas.
