Kim Bobo to Discuss Right-Wing Attacks on the
Department of Labor Tonight on The Ed Show

IWJ Executive Director Kim Bobo will be a guest on The Ed Show on MSNBC today. The show airs 6:00-7:00 p.m. EST. Kim will be on during the final segment, 6:45-7:00 p.m. EST. Make sure to tune in live, as the show is not re-run later in the evening, is not available on podcast, and features very little of its content online.

Kim will be discussing the recent controversy surrounding the U.S. Department of Labor's We Can Help campaign. The DOL has been flooded with phone calls criticizing the campaign since FOX News did a hatchet job last week sounding the alarm bells about the DOL protecting all workers regardless of immigration status (in other words, enforcing U.S. labor law). While there may be disagreement about the immigration issue, the fact is that U.S. employment law holds that everybody must be paid minimum wage and overtime.

The DOL has issued a response, but the right-wing attacks continue - one columnist referring to the DOL as the "U.S. Department of Illegal Alien Labor."

Tune in to hear a voice of reason and justice on this critical issue - and help us spread the word by forwarding this to your friends!
