Neal, just wanted to check in. Saw the PTA discussion on caaflog and it sounds like you guys must have done pretty well in there. Without knowing the details it doesn't make sense to refer the charges they did, let it drag all these years, and take a deal like that. Awesome job.
I hope you're doing well. I'm getting off active duty at the end of march. I am actually taking a police job in rockland county, ny--where I'm from. Academy starts in a few weeks while I'm on terminal leave. I'm unsure about it and I've applied to a few prosecutors offices in ny. Had two interviews recently w Suffolk and Nassau counties in long island. If I get an offer I'll have a decision to make. Either way I'll stay in the reserves. I love the navy but my girl is in NY, along w my dad and three of my brothers.
Ok take care. Please send Haytham my regards.
Obama 2012,
Kevin
Sent from my iPad Excellent analysis! And you're right. Need to wait and see. I'm doing great. How is the Navy treating you? Neal

A few things to follow on: (1) that's a conservative source and even with that, there's only a 4 percent win for the republican candidate; (2) a generic candidate? that would matter if there was some dyamic republican candidate with broad appeal, but there isnt; (3) I agree Carter sucked; (4) the people that voted for him, if they show up again, will be enough to get him reelected; (5) people get uncomfortable switching gears - the last 16 years, we had 2 two-term guys in two different parties. that favors him (and before H.W. Bush, Reagan was two terms).
If Bush could get reelected in 2004, as unpopular as he was by that point w/ a lot of people, Obama can get reelected in 2012. I'm still saying he gets the win. I agree he hasnt done much, but you cant discredit the fact that he won the election in 2008, and if they show up again (and most will), it should be enough to do it again. If the Republicans can dig up a serious candidate (not Bachmann) it will be a different story. But there hasnt been a good republican candidate in a long time.
We'll see what happens. Have a great July 4th. Take care
Kevin
