Question of the Week
Sunday Bulletins & Hot Dog Carts, What Advertising Method Works for You?
http://www.abajournal.com/weekly/article/sunday_bulletins_hot_dog_carts_what_advertising_method_works_for_you
In this month's issue of the magazine, we reported on lawyers who advertise their services in church bulletins.
We soon after learned about a hot dog cart owner in Houston who sells ad space to lawyers who practice at the nearby courthouse.
This made us wonder about what gimmicky or fairly traditional advertising works for you.
So tell us...
What's the best way you've found to advertise your legal services? Do you stick to traditional yellow pages and the online equivalent? Or are you venturing into new territory to bring clients through the door?
Answer in the comments.

Read answers to last week's question: Do You Plan to Practice Law Well into Old Age?

Posted by Michael Thornton: "I'm 68 but feel about 25. Ten years ago I 'retired' from the firm where I had spent 30 years as an equity partner, with the intention of spending more time with my wife on our farm. This didn't work out because I missed the legal work so I started up a specialist immigration law practice with a colleague. That lasted 3 years and then I went solo and have been working in my own small office for a further 3 years. Now I'm joining another, larger immigration firm but in a different capacity. I will be introducing cases to others in the firm while at the same time doing online teaching and tutoring work for a local University. I will enjoy passing on the 'wisdom' derived from my many mistakes! I don't believe in retirement in the rocking chair sense. I will keep up some degree of engagement in legal work for as long as I can."
