Just Checking...

Haytham,

I hope this finds you well.  I'm just checking to see what the process is for the PTA.  Russ indicated that it would happen whenever the General got around to it.  Is there any way to push it through quickly or is this just something that we have to wait out?  I know that there are things that you can do as Jim's civilian attorney that Russ can't as military counsel.  I want to do what is in the best interest of the most positive outcome, but obviously would prefer to have Jim home before 22 January.  I need to have realistic expectations, so if you have any insight as to what the timeline will be it would be helpful for me to know.

I also wanted to thank you for your support over the last ten months.  I am so thankful that you recognize Jim's PTSD.  Although it is no excuse for his actions, it certainly is helpful to understand why he does some of the things he does. In some ways, I think the brig time is a good thing as it will give him time to reflect on the events of Friday afternoon and maybe he'll even be able to recognize that he suffers from more than just alcoholism.

I understand that you are an exceptionally busy man, Haytham, so please respond if you're able.  If you prefer I communicate via Russ, let me know.  I'm not exactly sure who to ask all my questions.  Thank you again for everything.

Best,
Maigen
