Hi Joan.
It appears you have a busy and exciting upcoming several weeks. It would fun to get together over a drink. I'm away all of January to try the Haditha massacre case. I return in early february. I believe Haditha will be a story that should be told. You will find in that  case a tale of government incompetence and perhaps cover-up to allow the real people responsible for the deaths of 24 innocent civilians to escape punishment.

Good morning,

Very British weather today in Washington...I'll be going for work to Iraq and/or Kuwait, and then to Dubai for Christmas as my parents live there. But not a permanent move by any means - back in DC at the start of January!

Perhaps I could buy you a drink or a coffee at some point in the new year and pick your brain a bit, off-the-record, about military court cases in general?

Cheers,

Good morning,

Thank you for letting me know.  Where in the Middle East will you be?  Is it a permanent reassignment?  Either way best of luck and thanks again.

Haytham - thank you ever so much for coming in to the bureau and for speaking with us. The piece will run on the 15th on television and will be available online, but not sure what time it will be posted; I will be in the Middle East by then but will do my best to help if you cannot see/find the piece - just shout!

Please let me know if I can ever be of any help to you, it was a pleasure meeting you.

Hello Haytham,

Thank you for speaking with me earlier; as we discussed, let's plan on doing an interview regarding Bradley Manning's upcoming Article 32 hearing next Tuesday, December 6th.

If possible, could you come to our office for perhaps 4pm or 4:30pm that day? Whatever is the 'end of the day' for you?

We are located at:

2000 M St NW, Suite 800

Washington, DC 20036

Speak to you soon, have a good weekend -

VR/ Joan
