Scroll down - this is automated response we all get from the system... Marcy Fwd: Request for Reconsideration by CSSS.NET

PS. Lisa is in the "appeal" phase.  I'm still in the "waiting for the system to recognize I've sent in my application and it's complete" phase, (for the third time I might add).  Once the system recognizes you as complete, your 90 day clock starts again.  I've had two clocks started and stopped (without my knowledge) and am waiting to find out if the system will recognize all the documents I uploaded last Thursday morning (8Dec).  If it does or did, I should get my third auto-Email on my 90 day window for the CVE team to review my application for either approval or denial.

CVE has received your inquiry. At this time, your question has been forwarded to the Reconsideration Team for clarification. You can expect to receive a response from vacorecons@va.gov regarding your inquiry.

The regulation, 38 CFR 74, states that CVE has 60 days, when practicable, to make a final decision associated with the request for reconsideration. Unfortunately, we have received an exceptionally large number of requests for reconsideration, and currently almost 600 applications are in the reconsideration process. As a result, it is no longer practicable to process these within 60 days. Historically, 20% of companies receiving an initial denial requested reconsideration of that decision. Today, over 60% of companies receiving a denial are requesting reconsideration. We have shifted and added resources in an effort to speed up the process. In order to be fair to all applicants, we continue to process all requests for reconsideration on a first come, first served basis. We currently estimate that we will be able to provide a decision within 90 days of receiving a request for reconsideration. If you need further assistance, please call the help desk at 202-303-3260.
Thanks!

Dear Sir or Ma’am –
We filed our request for reconsideration on November 3rd and we would like to get a status update as to when this will be completed.  It is critical for our business and we did file it in the timely manner required and addressed all of the issues spelled out.  Most of which were actually covered in our initial application in March 2011.
