Great 1BR Condo For Sale In Carlyle (Video)

Posted: 17 Oct 2011 06:07 PM PDT

This 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Carlyle home was completely renovated from top to bottom. There have been many high quality upgrades, which include new wood floors, new paint, new kitchen, new bathroom, crown molding, even new light switches; nothing was overlooked.
The entire unit has been enhanced by the ceramic tiled enclosed balcony. The owners have installed new ceramic tile flooring, removed the sliding glass doors to open up this space and integrate it into the living and dining rooms. From the living room couch, you can enjoy the Masonic Temple view. The enclosed balcony is not included in the unit’s 750 square feet.
This beautiful kitchen is ready for any gourmet chef. Brand new stainless steel appliances have been installed and the warranties will convey to the new owner. The owners replaced the standard laminate countertop with high-end granite and extended the pass-through to make a bar. Two bar stools fit perfectly and allow for easy conversation. Also enjoy the new stainless sink and faucet, ceramic tile floor and beautiful lighting fixture.

Generous George’s Poised To Become Ginny’s Restaurant & The Esquire Dog

Posted: 17 Oct 2011 05:58 PM PDT

The Planning & Zoning department of the City of Alexandria has posted an Administrative SUP request for the change of ownership for the old Generous George’s building at 3000 Duke Street.
The old restaurant will be split into two separate businesses under the same owner. One will be Ginny’s Restaurant which will serve folks in the upstairs part of the restaurant (that which faces Duke Street) and the Esquire Dog, which will become exclusively a take out joint in the lower part of the restaurant.
The SUP can be found here at this link. Public comments are due by next Tuesday October 25.

**WARNING – Video contains graphic content**
CNN’s Brian Todd reported today on the Syrian spy case we posted about earlier this month from in front of the Carlyle courthouse. Mohamad Anas Haitham Soueid is alleged to have spied on Syrian protestors here in the U.S. and sent information back to the Syrian Government who intimidated the protestors by harming family members.
