RE: Davila Surrender

Haytham:

I received a call from Judge Jackson’s courtroom clerk inquiring about setting up Mr. Davila’s arraignment.  Because this is being done in Magistrate Court, arraignments are done only in the afternoon (at 130 pm).  Accordingly, 10/28 is out because we are unavailable on 10/28 PM.  Per the choices below, can you select any other time for the arraignment?

Let me know what date works for you.  Thanks so much.

I called Deputy Halley yesterday and asked him to schedule us for the morning of the 28th.  He said he will get back to us today.  Court was closed for the Columbus day holiday.  I assume AUSA Andrews will have the notice to appear.  Mr. Davila is available this week to go in and sign.  I will coordinate directly with Mr. Andrews to effect surrender and signing of the notice.

Best

Haytham,

Thanks for your message.  We need to coordinate a date for Mr. Davila to sign notice to appear here in DC.  As I previously emailed you, I am available anytime the week of Oct. 17, except: 10/17 AM, 10/20 AM, and 10/21 all day and also am available anytime the week of Oct. 24, except: 10/28 PM.

The AUSA that I have been working with in the USVI is Alphonso Andrews.  AUSA Andrews asked that you give him a call to discuss Mr. Davila’s surrender.  Mr. Andrews can be reached at 340-773-3920 and I’ve cc’ed him on this email.

Feel free to give me a call with any questions/concerns.  Thanks for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Ms. Dobbie,

Mr. Davila feels well enough to attempt surrendering again.  He can do it this week in the USVI.  Did you want to coordinate a time and date with a local AUSA?

Best,
