        We've
been referred to Jeff Carver by Mike Shapiro.  If Carver is unable
to assist, Shapiro might take on himself.  Both Marines in the San
Diego region.  Any input on them would be helpful.  
        The
charges are Rape of Drugged Victim and Rape of Unconscious Victim.  Appears
to be a he said, she said with both parties drunk (alcohol only).  She
being a p'ed off former girlfriend who was treating the unit to drinks.
 Corporal doesn't remember anything and does need treatment for alcohol
problem.  Don't know what evidence the DA has.  Investigation
was completed by San Diego police with CID support.  San Diego investigator
a Marine who told us that Corporal was a good kid that made a terrible
mistake.  Initial bail set at $100K but reduced at arraignment to
$50K.  DA maintains a web-page focusing on this type of rape providing
