Bottom line:
Partner Packages: You can be a partner for $10K or $20K a year and get Puckett and Faraj logo and ads on web sidebars and in the print mag (a couple of times), and the logo on press releases and correspondence in addition to that.
Advertising: $1200 ($400 x 3 issues) gets online ad placement for 6 months; there are several options for the print magazine ad, including the back cover, inside the covers, etc., for starting at $1200 (for a half-page ad to run in three print editions, i.e., for 6 months) up to $2700 for the back cover for three editions. You can run the ad a single time, or, say, once every 6 months. But, I think a longer presence would be prudent, and not a whole lot more expensive since the more frequently you run the ad (3 issues instead of 1 issue) the less expensive the individual ad might be. There's an additional fee if you want them to do the design work on the ad.
FYI Outserve has 4000 members now, but once the DADT is finally completely gone on September 20th, I imagine that will AT LEAST triple, if not go higher. There are an estimated 65,000 LGBT servicemembers, and I think we can assume at least one-fourth of them will get online with Outserve, as will straight folks or allies (commanders, first shirts, etc.) who are trying to be "in the know" as equality moves forward.
Important Date: Ads are due on September 3rd for the September 20th release on the certification date (which will be huge, I'm guessing, since Outserve is really the only organization of its kind -- serving active duty military).
How else can I help you? I don't know if you have your own media people on the hook yet. I have a design firm I've worked with here in Austin that I've been very happy with.

Spoke with Sue Fulton this weekend (Outserve and Knights Out) about the legal front. She said that SLDN is (naturally) the "go-to" organization for those who are trying to rectify records or discharges, come back into the military, etc. They are pro bono, and have several law firms helping out pro bono as well. If you want to offer up some pro bono services as an entree to the organization, I can look into that further (without actually offering you up -- just pulsing).
SLDN's focus is largely those who are already out of the service, or who are facing discipline already. Outserve's focus is currently serving folks. That said, AAFES has agreed to stock Outserve's magazine at select bases, so there's an advertising opportunity there, especially for those who might be experiencing harassment or discrimination but don't feel safe or comfortable going through their chain of command. And, of course, there's the possibility of secondary references -- people who read Outserve, but note an ad for a civilian attorney for friends who might be facing other criminal defense or legal needs. I'll e-mail the POCs to find out what the going advertising rate would be, but Sue felt it was extremely reasonable. That kind of media usually goes by the fraction of the page, so half-page ad, quarter-page ad, 1/8th, etc.
Marcy: I'll spend some time doing some research on the current status of the implementation and send potential law firm blog entry material this week.
