Dear Ibrahim,
I hope this finds you well. I received the vouchers with the original signatures this weekend. The reason is took so long for them to tell us that they need an original signature is because my expense voucher sat on the Judge’s case manager’s desk for four months. She emailed 2 weeks ago and apologized that she forgot to send it to the accounting department. She also told me that we needed vouchers with original signatures and that’s when I contacted you to tell you. That was just to give you some background on what has been going on and to apologize that you have not yet been paid for your work at trial.
According to our records, the firm has paid you $7431.70. You are entitled to receive 13,881.70 for your hours and travel. I submitted those vouchers today. Upon receipt of your compensation from the Government –usually a U.S. Treasury check- please return to us the $7431.70 that we paid you. Email me to coordinate the payment.
Best regards,
Haytham
