Re: Hello + do you know any patent lawyers?

In my experience there is rarely such a creature as a reasonably priced patent attorney, but have Carolyn contact a close friend of mine who is in the Tysons office of Hunton:

Jim Miner

If its not something for him, presumably he can provide a referral.

Our former contract attorney Carolynn Beck is looking for a patent attorney
for a friend of hers who is on active duty. If you know of any that you
think is able to handle a patent matter at a reasonable price, please
forward the information to Carolynn.

Have a good week.

Hi Haytham,

How's it going? It's been a while since we've spoken! Hope all is
well with you. I received my Virginia bar results a few weeks ago - I
am now officially a lawyer in Virginia (although I will not be sworn
in until next month). I am starting my job search back up. I am
finishing up my internship at the Commonwealth Attorney's office in
Norfolk (I also interned with the City Attorney's office but found my
experience with the Commonwealth Attorney's office to be more
interesting), and was told that they will hire me as soon as a
position becomes available, but it doesn't look as though that will be
any time in the immediate future. How is everything going on your
end, and how does business look with your Alexandria office? Please
let me know if you hear of any positions you think I may be interested
in, and that I would be competitive for, now that I am barred in
Virginia. I am very interested in government positions at this point
for the experience and also for the loan forgiveness, but would
consider private sector jobs that could also offer a rich learning
experience and that would have potential for higher pay (i.e. help
with paying off those loans faster). Though I'm now in Virginia
Beach, I would consider moving back to the Northern Virginia/DC area
for a full-time position.

There is a second reason I am emailing you - a friend of mine is
seeking help w/ filing a patent application. I was wondering if you
know of or have referred any clients to a patent lawyer who is local,
and who is budget-friendly. My friend is active duty military, so he
is on a bit of a budget.

Hope all is well. Thanks in advance for your time!

Thanks,

Carolynn
