Hey man,
Thanks for the email - let me know if you find anything, otherwise we'll
probably just stay at the BOQ until I kick out on block leave. Right now
the battalion is supposed to be on block leave 22 July until 8 August, but I
was thinking about taking an extra week and coming back to the LSSS on 15
August. I hope the powers-that-be are fine with that plan.
When are you going over to the government?
One final question - do you have any legal resources in Michigan that might
be able to help out in the next week or so: we had two Marines KIA this
week, one is from Grosse Pointe, Michigan. We've learned that the Westboro
Baptist Church fuckers are planning to protest his funeral - CO asked me if
there was anything I can do - my thought is that someone might be able to
help the family get some sort of restraining order or at a minimum make it
difficult for them to get a permit to protest near the funeral. Any
thoughts would be appreciated.
Take care.
John
