For further information about The Coalition for Government Procurement.

Advocating Common Sense in Government Procurement

The Coalition for Government Procurement is the single most effective voice for commercial service and product companies selling in the federal market. Our 30 years of working with decision makers in and out of government for common sense acquisition rules gives us unparalleled experience that is put to work daily for our members. Our knowledge of procurement issues and relationships give us the ability to ensure that our members’ views are heard – and respected.

Roger Waldron as its new President, effective November 8, 2010,

Waldron brings more than 20 years of high-profile government contracting experience to the Coalition.

He has extensive experience in GSA Multiple Award Schedule Programs. Waldron served as Acting Senior Procurement Executive for the General Services Administration from 2005 to 2007. Waldron's additional government service includes working as Director of the Acquisition Management Center in GSA, as GSA Senior Assistant General Counsel, as Assistant General Counsel at GSA, and as Assistant Regional Counsel at GSA. Since 2007 Roger has been counsel at Mayer Brown LLP.

"I look forward to working with Coalition members to promote common sense acquisition policy and expand the Coalition's reach."

According to Bill Gormley, Chairman of the Coalition, "We are very pleased to have someone of Roger's caliber and expertise lead the Coalition moving forward. He is an expert in the GSA Schedules Program and will bring strong leadership to the association."
