Fwd: google searches



What do you think?  Here's the analysis below.  My goal is to ramp up our calls to Debra as rapidly as possible, then ramp back down as the flow becomes steady.  We can always bump up and bump down the budget for words.  Do you mind if we try this in the short term?  You have convinced me that our future and increase in business depends upon aggressive marketing.  I recommend we do this for one month to see what happens.  Maybe the amount doesn't get exhausted, but the key is to keep her visible on page one every day of the month.

This is what we would recommend for the objectives you sent below:

 

Based on researching the possible traffic for the key federal law employment terms, we would recommend a monthly Google budget of $12,000 per month to be able to show 90%-100% of the time. This would put you in line with the current competitors in this particular keyword space. 

 

If we remove the budget from Bing/Yahoo, that is market that may not have any exposure.  There are still possible clients using those search engines, but we can focus 100% on Google to get that nailed down and work from there as needed.

 

If we were to budget on Bing/Yahoo as well, we would recommend a monthly budget of $5,000 to be able to show 90%-100% of the time.

Micah,
Unless you can convince us otherwise, I think ALL of Debra's PPC money should go to Google.  
Here's my goal.  I'd like for you to figure out which words bring "fedatty" and "Tullylegal" up on the paid searches and recommend how much money we'd need to spend to always come up at least on the paid searches to the right of the organic list.  If we need to spend more to have her always visible with all of the most logical searches, we will do it.

Google: 846
Bing: 978 (and counting as there are two days left)
 
Keep in mind that Bing has a larger keyword budget (approx. $2500 vs $1800).

Hi Debra,

The monthly budget has already been exhausted on Google for the month of March.  The campaign is still running in Bing for the next two days. Starting April 1st when the new keyword monthly budget starts, the campaign will be back live in Google.

Hey Micah,

 

I've been trying some searches to see whether I'm popping up on google - and I'm not coming up anywhere.  Neal said the funding was diverted to fed employment law already, so do you know why I don't seem to be in the paid ads?
