This Weekend! 34th Mid-Winter Ski Conference President’s Day Weekend: February 19-21, 2011 It’s not too late to register! Please join us for our annual ski conference, where you can work and play in the same weekend. The Shanty Creek Conference Committee offers the following programs: Saturday, February 19: Timothy Baughman opens the conference with a review of last year’s high-impact court decisions. Immediately following, a welcome reception for all conference participants rounds out the day’s activities. Sunday, February 20: The conference continues with a morning presentation on the new “super drunk” law by Patrick Barone. In the afternoon, Steve Fishman discusses how to cross- examine the difficult police witness. Shanty Creek Resort has extended the deadline for the special room rates. The rates include four meals and the reception. Shanty Creek is also offering an adjoining room for children for only $100 per night. Lodging without a meal plan is also available for $122 per night for a guest room (two queen beds) and $172 per night for a parlor studio (one king bed). To reserve your room, fax the form directly to the hotel. You do not need to stay at the hotel to attend the conference. Proof of attendance will be provided for attendees seeking continuing legal education credit. Please contact your administrator to determine if this program meets your county’s requirements.
