Secretary of Defense Dr. Robert M. Gates announced today that the
President made the following nominations:
Marine Corps Colonel Charles G. Chiarotti has been nominated for
appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Chiarotti is currently
serving as the Chief of Staff, J-4, United States Central Command,
MacDill
AFB, FL.
Marine Corps Colonel David W. Coffman has been nominated for appointment
to the grade of brigadier general. Coffman is currently serving as the
Commanding Officer, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Camp Pendleton, CA.
Marine Corps Colonel Thomas A. Gorry has been nominated for appointment
to
the grade of brigadier general. Gorry is currently serving as the

Marine Corps Colonel Paul J. Kennedy has been nominated for appointment
