Capt Sareen, Major Haytham Faraj (ret) and I are representing PFC Wylde, and he named you as someone that may possibly be interested in speaking as a character witness or writing a character statement. Are you familiar with his legal situation? We aren't looking for you to say he's Chesty Puller or anything; we realize he's only a PFC. But if you happen to know him well enough to comment on whether or not you think he's someone capable of learning from whatever mistakes he made and moving on from them, it would certainly be helpful. This is something that would come into during the sentencing phase of the trial, should we come to it. A simple letter in standard Naval letterhead including how you know him would suffice if we can't bring you in by phone. Let me know. PFC Wylde speaks highly of you. I hope all's well in Afghanistan.
