Thank you, Sir. Suffice it to say we'll be adjusting fire. As I shared with you earlier in the week by phone, the original mission had a flaw. It was in the "you can't get there from here" category. Now we need to set the case on a course that both informs the panel of LTC Lakin's intent while reducing the pain he must suffer as a result. Again, this is confidential, please.

Chairman Stand up America Gen Vallely, Writing confidentially, at least until LTC Lakin sends a termination letter to Mr. Jensen, I wanted you to know that our firm has undertaken representation of him as replacement counsel. We will attempt to salvage the mess that has been made of his case. He has shared with me some of your recent email exchanges with Mr. Jensen. I am personally and professionally embarrassed by the way you have been treated by Mr. Jensen. I cannot think of any good reason why an attorney would express such venom and disrespect toward anyone whose only interest was in helping his client. It brings shame on my profession, and I apologize for what you have had to endure. I don't know how to right that wrong. You are an American patriot and hero and have my respect and admiration for all you have done and continue to do for your country. I ask again only that you keep this communication confidential. I do not wish to publicly criticize my predecessor on this case. I'm off to Okinawa momentarily to help a young Marine Corps warrant officer save his career. I'll return to work next Friday. V/r, Neal
