Subject: Follow-up / 1TV

Dear Eric,

It was a pleasure speaking with you today about the position with 1TV in Kabul. I appreciate your time this morning.

As we discussed, I am following up with some questions, so I may better understand the business environment.

1.         Is 1TV broadcast via terrestrial and/or satellite and cable?

It broadcast terrestrial within Afghanistan and it is also on satellite and broadcasts in Europe and Asian countries

2.         Does the channel broadcast in Dari or Pashtu, or both?

It is 90 Dari and 10 Pashtu

3.         What are the main goals and expectations in moving the business forward to the next step?

1TV is doing very good now, it is either equal to #1 channel or a strong # 2. The next step for 1TV is to not only become #1 but also bring in new quality and a better quality TV and production quality into Afghanistan and also to become profitable.

4.         What percentage of the content is News-oriented, entertainment, original and acquired?

It is about 60% Entertainment, 30% news and current affairs and 10 % information and education. We produce about 52 hours of original content in house and we have around 8 syndicated serials

            a)         Of the original content, what genres are produced internally?

We produce news, Afghan Talent, Battle of the Bands, Mozhdah( Opera type show), Dil Na Dil( a copy of the Deal or No Deal), Iron Man, We got the license for the Voice of India and will be producing Voice of Afghanistan, The Kabul Debate, Morning Report, Amaj( a political discussion), Elections, Dark Side, Kabul e Man, Business Show, An Evening with Aber, 1Report, Talk to 1 and some other shows.

            b)         Of the acquired content, where is most of it acquired from (i.e., India, Arab countries, UK, US, Australia)?

Mostly India and Turkey and some US.

5.         What is the headcount?

Around 320

6.         What systems are in place for risk management?

Unable to address this question at this time.

7.         You indicated that the channel has been successful, how are ad sales developed and marketed?

We have only been on air since feb and now are able to cover 70% of our expenses of our recurring cost.

8.         Are new and social media apps factored into the marketing of the channel such as the Internet, Mobile, Facebook, You Tube, etc.?

Not yet, needs to happen.

9.         Have there been synergies and alliances developed for cross-marketing opportunities (i.e., newspaper, radio)?

With a Radio Station. We are also getting ready to launch our own Radio Station, News 24 TV, and a news paper.

10.       What is the timetable for the hiring of this new executive?

In the next 10 to 20 days

I have no doubt that my experience and background in successfully building businesses and alliances and working in multi-cultural environments will prove to be an asset with the further growth of 1TV.

I look forward to discussing this further with you and with Mr. Fahim Hashimi.

Have a safe trip to Moscow.

My best,

Farrell
