Vote Now in the 2010 State Bar of Michigan Elections
It is time to vote in the 2010 State Bar of Michigan (SBM) elections. The primary means
of voting in this year’s election is electronic. This process will allow all active members to vote
securely online at the SBM website. The new process saves money, is more environmentally conscious, and
will be more convenient for members.
All members with computer access currently have the ability to access the State Bar member area using
their unique password to pay their dues, register for conferences and seminars, and order publications.
Now they can access it to cast their ballot in this year’s elections.
This year, elections are being held for positions on the Board of Commissioners, Representative Assembly,
Young Lawyers Executive Council, and the Judicial Tenure Commission.
All active members are eligible to vote in the Judicial Tenure Commission election.
Eligibility to vote in the other contested elections is dependent upon your address of record.
Once you sign into the member area on the SBM website and click on the “2010 SBM election”
link located on the left had side of the home page, you will only see the ballots for the elections for
which you are eligible to vote. Biographical information for the candidates in each race can be viewed by
clicking on the link that is located at the top of each ballot.
Voting ends at 12 midnight ET on June 15, 2010. Results of the elections will be posted on the State Bar
