Subject: Conflict Alert

Partners,
Not sure what's going on with a trip to Afghanistan that I just heard about, but please consider this note of caution.  It occurred to me on Thursday or Friday that Haytham represents 3D in ongoing litigation.  Eric seeks to represent Hashimy in a future deal with 3D.
Before we start planning trips overseas, keep in mind that the firm cannot represent either party in this deal between the two.  It is a direct conflict with a current client.  The only conflict-free representation is to continue to represent 3D.  But we cannot represent Hashimy if we represent 3D.  I think we need to have a conference call before anyone books a flight.  I don't see this working out.
