A Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) delegation will embark on a multi-continent tour covering Asia, Europe and North America to examine successful multi-modal railway projects in preparation for developing a world-class rail system to address the region's demand; GCC countries represented include Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. The tour will provide a forum for public and private institutions to share best practices in infrastructure design and implementation as well as oversight and management that will inform the delegates plan for new rail works in the region.
The Bilateral Chamber has invited C-Suite executives from the U.S.Â?s leading infrastructure companies for a intensive session to showcase and position American expertise and experience. The portfolio of companies invited to the Roundtable represent over a century of experience and trillions of dollars of project management expertise in the U.S. and abroad. Participants include SAIC, Parsons, Fluor, Herzog, Lane, Hanson, EWA and WABASH.
Following the roundtable, the chamber is hosting a networking reception featuring The Honorable Pat Quinn, Governor of Illinois and ChicagoÂ?s business and civic leadership all attending to extend a warm welcome to the GCC delegates.

The United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service (CS) is organizing an industry-specific Oil & Gas Equipment and Services Mission to Kazakhstan and Turkey. Led by a senior Department of Commerce official, the mission will include representatives from a variety of U.S. firms specializing in the oil and gas industry.
Mission participants will be introduced to international agents, distributors, and end-users whose capabilities and services are targeted to each participantÂ?s needs. This mission will contribute to National Export Initiative goals through increased sales of oil and gas equipment / services in Turkey and Kazakhstan.

The Bilateral US-Arab Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce an inbound delegation of public and private sector representatives and senior government officials from Egypt. The delegationÂ?s visit to Houston is part of a multi-city tour throughout the United States, marking the first major program between the two countries since the historic events that took place in Egypt earlier this year.
In an effort to support economic growth and the development of sustainable infrastructure in Egypt as the country transitions to a new governing structure, the aim of the program will be to connect the public and private sectors in the United States and Egypt, encourage trade, and capitalize on business opportunities.

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) was recognized at the Bilateral US-Arab Chamber of Commerce's 14th Annual MENA Region Reception at this year's Offshore Technology Conference (OTC 2011) in Houston, Texas, USA.
Held under the theme "Making Safe," this year's edition of OTC attracted around 65,000 attendees and 2,500 exhibiting companies, representing more than 110 countries. Executive-led delegations from ADNOC, Kuwait Petroleum, Aramco, Qatar Petroleum, Sonatrach and the South Oil Company of Iraq were among the MENA region NOC's that attended the conference and BUSACC's reception at the kickoff of the week, Monday, May 2nd at the Intercontinental Hotel.
Over 800 attended BUSACC's reception, including delegates from Algeria, Angola, Ghana, Iraq, Kuwait, Malaysia, Nigeria, Norway, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Also in attendance were U.S. Department of Commerce commercial officers from the MENA region and Washington D.C. and State of Texas officials from the Senate and Railroad Commission and the Mayor of the City of Houston's Office.
BUSACC Board member, Rob Franklin, President ExxonMobil Upstream Ventures, asked ADNOCÂ?s managers to join him on stage to receive the "Visionary Leadership Award" on behalf of Abdulla Nasser Al Suwaidi, ADNOC Deputy CEO. The award is given to companies that demonstrate a commitment to enhancing business and education ties between the United States and Arab world. Past recipients include Aramco, ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips.
