Hi Neal,

Our search of the DOD system shows that you are eligible for a Secret level security clearance only.  Once the government is ready to turn any classified material over to you, we will arrange to meet for your security indoctrination briefing.  However, in the event that this case will require you to have access to a higher level of classified information, I would recommend you begin a new background investigation with our office to avoid as much delay as possible.  In order to initiate the new background investigation, please complete and return the attached form to the litsec@usdoj.gov email address copied above within 3 business days.  This information is used to set up an account for you in the online e-Qip system.  Once that account is created, you will be contacted by a personal security specialist in our office via email with further instructions and additional forms to be completed.

If you have any questions regarding the case, CIPA, or your responsibilities with regard to classified information, please contact me at either the office, 202-514-9016 or on my cell, 202-353-5942.

If you have any questions regarding your background investigation, difficulties with the e-Qip system, or the adjudication/investigation process, please call 202-514-9016 and ask for personnel security specialists Robin Nickens or Barbara Russell.  They can also be reached via email at robin.nickens@usdoj.gov and Barbara.j.russell@usdoj.gov.

I look forward to working with you.

Best regards,
