Michigan Arab Orchestra "A Night of Tarab"
On Friday, January 28th, the Michigan Arab Orchestra under the direction of Michael Ibrahim presents "A Night of Tarab" at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Listen to traditional and classical Arab music performed by a full orchestra with guest vocalists, Usama Baalbaki, Emad Batayeh, and Nidal Ibourk.

Women's Voices From the Muslim World: A Short Film-Festival Women's Voices From the Muslim World will be showing on January 27th at the University of Michigan - Dearborn. This film festival is a collection of voices from women of all faiths living in Muslim-majority countries and Muslim women living as minorities around the world.

Call For Papers: A Conference in Honor of Professor Michael Suleiman
After the passing of Arab studies scholar Michael Suleiman, a conference at the Arab American National Museum was announced in his honor. The Conference Planning Committee would like to invite submission of paper proposals for the conference. The deadline has been extended to March 15, 2011.
