Good Morning CWO3 Rogers, I just spoke to Sgt Brito this morning, MARCENT doesn't have any record of his CAR. We lost sight of this due to Sea Periods from Oct to Dec, then block leave from Dec. thru Jan 2011. We are leaving on the 13th MEU this month and I ask that you get a similar endorsement per the attachment so we can get the award routed up the chain of Command. The current Battalion Commander is LtCol Craig R. Wonson. If you can have the chain of Command at the time of the actions endorse a letter that you provide, the Command will submit into IAPS with the endorsement as source docs. I attached an example of an award that was not processed at the time and with the endorsement we were able to submit through IAPS and get the Marine the award he deserves. If Col Furness was the Battalion Commander, he is currently in Afghanistan with the 1st Marine Regiment you can look him up via the GAL. His adjutant is 1stLt Sherwood, James (On the Cc line).
