Re: please advise

Hi Nina,
I recommend the following questions to the General Counsel:
1. You said that this law suit is individually against me and Access. What do the words "jointly and severally" mean on the complaint?
2. If I was acting within the course of my employment and did nothing wrong, shouldn't Access represent me?
3.  Does Access have an insurance policy that protects from liability in law suits such as this?
4. If it has an insurance policy, isn't true that the insurance company will retain a law firm to defend against the law suit?
5. Does Access intend to defend me in this law suit? If not why not since I was acting in the course of my employment and did not commit the things alleged?
6. If Access does not represent me through it's own counsel, will it pay for me to retain my own legal counsel.

Hi Haytham,

On behalf of Dr. Adnan Hammad, I would like to thank you most sincerely.  He mentioned that you discussed him proceeding by sending an email to ACCESS counselor; he asked me to connect with you in regards to the questions he should ask and the language that he should use in this email. He is hoping to send this email at some point tomorrow.

Dr. Adnan said he is proud of your accomplishments and that he has confidence in you. That being said he is hoping to work with you and wants to follow your advice by writing to the counselor and I will keep you posted with the proceedings of this case.

Thank you and have a great day.

Best,
