H,
Just did a consultation with a Marine Sgt (first name: Wilson) at CLR-15. Told him you were his guy. Frat, failure to pay just debts, larceny, obstruction. 4 specs each. Allegation is that he borrowed total of $11K from 4 subordinates and didn't repay. He says never happened. All 4 are civilians now. 3 took him to small claims court. 2 won their cases and he's paying. Initially referred to SPCM. Then withdrawn and sent to 32.
Slabbekorn was the IO for his 32. Recommended if restitution made, refer to SCM. His two DC's negotiated a SPCM with 4-mo cap. He signed then later withdrew. "Didn't want a BCD or to go to jail." Conferred with Joe Low. Joe wanted $40K because "I'm a high profile atty who represented Michael Jackson's doctor." Too high. Joe gave him some other names. Ours was among them. He recommended not hiring White and Meeks.
I quoted him that you'd represent him for $20K plus expenses. Then he said, "would you look at my case and tell me what my chances are?" Said I'd send it to you and you'd get back to him tomorrow. Faxing us his 32 report. Will forward.
His phone no. is 210-793-1801.
