Sam,

I reviewed the documents you sent.  It looks like Nabih Ayad was
representing these guys.  Whoever it was left a mess.  While I appreciate
the situation they're in, I cannot get involved at a lower rate than we
normally charge.  We will take this case at the hourly rate of $350.  Our
initial retainer is $10k.  They would be required to maintain no less than
$3k at all times in our trust account.  If they're interested, please let me
know.

 

You said we would both be co-counsel.  Is there another counsel on the case.
I have no reservations to you being co-counsel but would want to know who
the other counsel is and what rule he'/she would play.

I am attaching several documents from this Virgina case that we discussed
last week.  Following your advise, I was able to convince the judge to allow
the client more time to obtain counsel and answer the outstanding motions.
