I read your posts and the comments with interest. Capt Wacker wasn’t just proven not guilty but innocent as well. The stories told by the alleged victims were incredible. The NOLA DA did the right thing by refusing to prosecute. Wacker was found guilty of conduct unbecoming but on sentencing I argued to the jury that they should recommend that the conviction be set aside. They did exactly that and sentenced him to no punishment. USD should be ashamed of itself for the way it treated Capt Wacker. They are a disgrace to the profession of law. They withheld the law degree despite his having completed the requirements and paid for it. USD hasn’t heard the last of this. We were waiting for the acquittal. It is USD’s turn now.
