RE: WSJ Article Sent Yesterday

I can’t work on this until maybe this evening. I have several things due today.  Siddiqui wasn’t here illegally but he may have faced deportation if he had been convicted of any offense that carried a sentence of 1 year confinement

Team, plze read the article, need your help.  Article talks about Fraudulent Enlistment discharge of a Soldier after 10 years for illegal immigrant status.  Now granted citizenship (post military service), and the question is reenlistment - talks about an "honorable" discharge (not which type) and does not bring up the re-enlistment code.  What are the military process details here?  Do you think he got a general under honorable?  I can look up those benefits, but what re-enlistment code do you think he got?

Another angle is the data on 64,643 military members were granted citizenship between Sep01 and Sep10.  Haytham, what of your client Siddiqi?  What are the legal principals, tactics, military admin process, means.  Article indicates that the military policy is that illegals aren't let into the military, but if 64K of them have been in the last 9 years, how does that happen?

Would really like to get a blog up today. Neal still out of town so I don't have my "go to" guy to answer my questions.

M
