RE: Chris Drotleff former Blackwater employee Afghanistan self defense Case

You can’t get yourself appointed to the case.  The only way to get CJA funds is to be hired by the client who then runs out of funds or to be selected by the CJA panel.  If he fires his lawyers they’re just assign him new ones.  They won’t pay CJA money if he hires a lawyer expecting to get CJA funds.  It’s a pain the ass.

Here's a cry for help.  Just talked with the wife.  Former Blackwater employee on trial for murder in E.D.VA in Norfolk.  First trial in Sep hung jury.  Resched for 1 Mar 2011.  Family not happy with two attys appointed by court.  Don't think there's any money other than CJA rates you're getting in Hamama.  Do you and I want to do one of these?

Good morning,

I would like to first thank you for your time in speaking with me this morning.  You have no idea how this truly means to us, your time and effort to look this through is greatly appreciated.
Per our conversation, here is the link to my husband's facebook page:  http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=117689681577448#!/group.php?gid=117689681577448&v=info

In the info tab under recent news you can find numerous links to his case which is unbiased.  Also attached is a letter that we had sent to the President.  Please let me know if you are able to assist us in this matter.

Good evening Mr. Puckett,

Betty Kilbride had referenced you to me which you maybe of an assistance.  I am Gina Drotleff, the wife of Chris Drotleff, a former Marine, and also a former Blackwater employee who was involved with a self defense shooting in Afghanistan back in May of 2009.  My husband has been incarcerated since January of 2010, his trial was set for September which resulted in a hung jury, new trial on March 1st of this year.  I am not quite sure if you can help but would like any assistance as to knowing of anyone who maybe able to help us with a new lawyer, or yourself, and also someone needs to take a look at the case as we feel that it is politically motivated.  This past year has been a tremendous hardship for our family as we have a now 4yr old, and 1 year old, car was taken in May of 2010, and once again about to lose our home as well as many stresses financially, emotionally, mentally, and physically for us all.  So any help that you maybe able to give us or point us to would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

Gina Drotleff
