RE: Letters of recommendation

Nothing wrong with contacting the CO to ask for a letter. Keep in mind, the
letter does not have to accept what you did but a recommendation for
retention would be very important.

Haytham,

Captain Hur suggested perhaps I contact Colonel Bonnot and request a letter
from him although we both thought it would be wise to gather your thoughts
prior to.....

While I am open to swallowing my pride, I do believe parts of this whole
situation stems from our relationship (or lack thereof).

However, I also realize what is at stake as well so will continue to follow
the advice set out.

Of note, I have attempted to contact both the XO (LtCol Tingle) and OpsO
(LtCol Valdez). Recently both indicated they wanted to help, but have not
been able to touch base lately (???)

I spoke with Col Waldron. He is going to send me a letter of recommendation.
He advised that you call up Col Bonnot personally and ask him to help you.
Calling LtCol Tingle would be a good idea too.

I called and Tina Vinson is going to write a letter of recommendation for
you too.

Carlos: I have no problem telling people what I know about you and the job
you did while working at MOBCOM. I'm not sure this form is the best way for
me to accomplish that. Please give me some context...I'd like to know the
forum your case is being sent to (NJP, Art 32, SPCM), what the charges and
specifications are and when you need this. A call from your DC might be
good so I can work with him/her on how to best convey my thoughts.
