Gentlemen, I want to thank you for your time and your decision last
week. As a former military officer and one who spent a substantial time
in leadership positions, I am comfortable that you did the right thing and that
you will not hear anything about Chief Natividad that will make you regret you
decision. Throughout the hearing, I noticed LCDR Favata pose several questions
about DUIs. To be quite honest, I was very disturbed by the answers you
got to your questions when comparing Fraternization with DUI. I am not a
zero defects person and really embrace the idea that we learn more from our
mistakes than the things we get right but the dismissal of the seriousness of
the DUI questions by most of the Senior and Master Chiefs left me wondering
whether they really understand the terrible consequences of a DUI. I decided
to share this video with you to perhaps share with some of the Sailors that
work for you. I in no way intend this as a criticism or a comment on
either of you. In fact, I am only sending this to you both because I felt
that you get it. Thank you again for your time. Here’s the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=Z2mf8DtWWd8 Semper Fidelis, Haytham Faraj, Esq.
