Dear Mr. Houways, I am attaching the petitions submitted to CBP and OFAC to secure the release of your vehicles. My point of contact at CBP is Mr. James Dignan at 617-565-6144. Based on my experience, seizures based on clerical errors are normally resolved within 4-5 weeks of a petition being filed. Even though it is a clerical mistake, they will frequently require you pay a penalty, storage fees and to hold the government harmless. If CBP does not release the vehicles next week, I recommend you seriously consider pursuing court action. Sincerely, Haytham Faraj, Esq.
