Neal,

After doing another background check with the county sheriff, I have found that my "disposition" with the FBI has indeed changed.  The only problem is it seems to be in the wrong direction.  Prior to this last attempt, my disposition was "unknown".  This time it is "pending".   Should I attempt to follow the advice of your expert and contact the Director of US Army Crime Record Center and force them to correct it?  Out of curiosity, what should my disposition read?

As always, thank you for your help.  Hope you're enjoying the snow!

CRC did submit the request to the FBI to correct his NCIC record.  The request is dated 16 Nov 09.  Which is the same day he conducted the check with the SO.  There is usually a delay between when we send the request and the FBI taking action.   I recommend that he check again.  If it still has not been corrected, then he needs inform the Director of US Army Crime Record Center of the issue and force them to correct it.  Further, I don't understand how his spouse can be denied employment based on his NCIC history, unless it is for health care or child care.  Lastly, there is probably much more to the Report of Investigation.  He just didn't ask for it.  I garrantee there are exhibits...
