Mr. Puckett,

I'm out of the office all of next week, so I thought it would be helpful to forward a blank SF-86 to you today.  Please up date any information that has changed since June 2007.  When you are finished please mail it back to me at the below address.  I've CC'd both the Director and Deputy Director of Code 17, just in case you may have some questions.

V.R,
Heidi

Maam,
Since there are already fingerprint cards on file with Code 17, along with a completed SF-86, you just need me to complete the parts of an
SF-86 that reflect changes since 2007.  Is that correct?

Mr. Puckett,

Even though you were granted the clearance in 2007 for a case that you were working on, you will be required to submit an updated SF-86 for this case.  Access for Civilian Defense Counsel is granted per each individual case, through CNO N09N2.  The assigned Military Defense
Counsel will submit a Request for Access to CNO via Code 17.   The
process should be pretty straight forward considering your clearance
from the previous case.

If you have any questions regarding the process, please feel free to call me.

LTJG Kadlec,
You misread my email.  I don't NEED a security clearance.  I HAVE a current, active DON security clearance.  Your court security officer simply needs to find it in the system and put me on the access list.

Good afternoon.  I received an e-mail from Mr. Puckett indicating he will need interim Secret clearance for U.S. v. McCabe.  Code 17 has advised me Mr. Puckett's request needs to be made via you (i.e., military defense counsel).  As Mr. Puckett's military co-counsel, you are responsible for facilitating his request.  As such, please contact Ms. Heidi Beasley (Code 17) immediately to initiate Mr. Puckett's
request and for additional guidance.   Ms. Beasley can be reached at
(202) 685-5470.  Among other things, she will require Mr. Puckett submit to her a completed SF-86 and fingerprint cards.  Thank you.

LTJG Kadlec
