Enlistment in the Marines

Joseph,
We recommend that you work with your recruiter to determine the best way to solve your enlistment issue.  If your medication is prohibited, your recruiter will know about that and be able to offer you solutions.  It may involve getting a doctor to examine you to certify that your condition has resolved and you no longer need to take it, rendering you fit for duty.  On the other hand, the fact that it was prescribed to you and you were on it for a specified period of time prior to seeking enlistment may prevent you from being medically qualified for service at all and you may need to look elsewhere for career opportunities.  It may just be that you are disqualified for service in the Corps.  If that's true, you may want to visit the recruiters for other services to see if there are career opportunities with those other services that do not list your medication as disqualifying.
Best of luck,
