2011 Year-End Benefit Plan Compliance
The end of the calendar year brings more than employee performance reviews and holiday celebrations. Employee benefit plans can have daunting year-end checklists. Our collection of resources will help you ensure your plans are in compliance.

Holiday Bonuses: Tips, Trends, Taxes
Some employers provide extra cheer to their employees during this time of the year by giving them a cash bonus. These bonuses are considered taxable income to the employee. This response provides survey data on the cash bonuses employers give; how to handle the tax implications and tips for employees to maximize their bonuses.

Conducting a Self-Review
Many organizations require employees to complete a self-review. This resource contains articles to assist employees (or you!) in conducting a self-review.

Educational Requirements and the ADA
According to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, a qualification standard—including a high school diploma requirement—that screens out individuals on the basis of a disability must be job-related and consistent with business necessity, or such standard may violate the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
