Story Time with Around the World Adventurer Doug Wothke
Doug Wothke is the adventure rider's adventure rider. He's ridden through the most rugged and exotic places, mostly on bikes that aren't designed for it; in 2006 he rode a 1948 Indian Chief all around the world. This year, he converted a 2003 Harley-Davidson Sportster to run with long travel suspension and rode through Russia, Mongolia and Kazakhstan among several other countries in the region. Hear all about Doug's adventures LIVE at the Learning Curve stage throughout the weekend!
Influential Women Riders Speak at DC
Recognized for her role in defeating the lead law that banned the sale of youth motorcycles and ATVs, Nancy is proof that we are more powerful than we give ourselves credit for. Liz's book Women, Motorcycles and the Road to Empowerment explores the relationship between women, motorcycling and personal power. You can see both of these esteemed women from the motorcycle community this weekend at the Learning Curve. Don't miss out!
