PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

CSR and business sustainability have moved into the mainstream, and HR professionals have an opportunity to take a leadership role in this area. Today, in contrast to 20 years ago, most corporate leaders view socially responsible business practices as a strategic issue that impacts their bottom line.  Learn about the evolution of CSR and business sustainability, the importance of the “Triple Bottom Line” concept, and the attributes HR professionals need to develop to become CSR leaders.  Also, explore the results of SHRM’s 2007 pilot study on CSR practices in the U.S. and six other countries -- Australia, India, China, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.

HRCI Credits: This event is APPROVED for 1.0 strategic business management credit hour toward SPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).
