Subject: Engine Room Explosion, Power blackout could have caused Italian
cruise disaster
The Forwarder writes:
I suspect terrorism via a planted & timed explosive device in the engine
room. That was all that was necessary. It's way too outlandish to believe
that an experienced captain who does this run every 7 days would suddenly
forget where the reefs are located and then steer right onto them. I smell a
rat. This could be a maritime Pan Am 103 or TWA 800 effort. Otherwise, such
a blunder makes no sense whatsoever.
