Please urge your Senators and Representatives to pass legislation to encourage solar manufacturing in the U.S. The Solar Manufacturing Jobs Creation Act, H.R. 4085 in the House and S. 2755 in the Senate, would expand the commercial solar ITC to include the purchase of solar manufacturing equipment. An improved tax incentive for solar manufacturing will create long-term growth and U.S. jobs. Passage of this bill his would create a generally available and immediately reliable 30 percent credit for the tools used to create solar panels.
We need you to do two things:
- Please call and write to your Senators and Representatives. If they are a cosponsor of the manufacturing tax credit, thank them for supporting for this legislation and encourage quick passage of the solar manufacturing tax credit.
- If your Senators and Representatives are not a co-sponsor yet, please call and write to them and ask them to cosponsor H.R. 4085 and S. 2755.
Congress will listen, but you have to let them hear you. Please contact Congress now for the support of a solar manufacturing tax credit. With your help, we can create thousands of new solar jobs while developing clean, renewable energy resources here at home.
