Detroit Marriott as they celebrate another year of
dedicated service. The ACCESS dinner is the second-largest annual dinner in Michigan and the largest Arab American event in the country, with more than 2,500 people in attendance. This year ACCESS honors Nobel Prize winner, Ahmed Zewail and Peter Tanous, founding chairman of the American Task Force for Lebanon.

Hookah Operators Decide
to Fight Smoking Ban![Hooka Operators Fight]() Unless there is some resolve by the end of this week between the
affected business community and state legislators, Michigan's hookah operators
have vowed to fight the state smoking ban by way of filing suit to
question the law's constitutionality. Ameera David reports for this Arab Detroit exclusive.

Starting May 1st, the Dr. Ron Davis Smoke-Free Air Law will go into
effect, protecting everyone in Michigan from secondhand smoke in
restaurants, bars, and businesses. Anyone interested in learning more
about the new law is welcome to attend an informal session from 3-5 p.m today.
