Hi. I have just received a telephone call from the Clerk's office at US Dist Ct, DC, saying they will not allow us to file the complaint with the check you overnighted because it's a starter check. All information must be pre printed on the check for them to accept it. I asked for alternatives --sending the courier with $350 in cash was the alternative or a personal check with pre-printed information on it. I am now pissed off beyond words because this little rule is not anywhere on a website, in any court rule or any where else I could have found it. I have now wasted the fees for a courier trip and your Fed Ex to me with the check because they didn't say anything about this in advance. I don't know if we have even gotten the pre-printed checks yet - have we? Please advise what you suggest I do at this point. Thanks.
