Travis Wilridge Character Statement

Dear Ms. Ferguson:

I am writing to you at the request of Haytham Faraj, who is working on Mr. Wilridge's application to have his discharge from the Navy upgraded.  I believe that you may have prepared a statement for us in the past as to Mr. Wilridge's character, and I am writing now to request an updated statement. We would need the statement to speak to the following:

1.         State that you have known him all his life, as you are his Aunt.

2.         Describe in detail the type of relationship and how often you have been in contact with and the quality of your contact with him.  (For instance you see him weekly and talk about many things or you see him only at family events.)

3.         Describe your opinion of Mr. Wilridge and the reasons for your opinion.  For example, you may say that he is truthful because you saw him tell the truth in the past even though he knew he would suffer some consequences, etc.

4.         If you are aware of his actions during military service, explain the acts of heroism, courage, loyalty, commitment, sacrifice or other such actions that speak to his character.

5.         If you can describe it, say how you believe his post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has changed him.

6.         Anything more you would like to add.

Thank you so much for doing this again for us and for helping us assist Mr. Wilridge.

Please contact me if you have any questions.
