CDR Kamal, Thank you for your email. I was unaware of the difficulties you were having in communicating with us, but am extremely glad that you let me know. Yes, you are correct in that Mr. Montalvo is no longer with this firm and in fact was never assigned to your case. Although not a member of this firm, Ms. Miller was assisting Debra during her maternity leave, because she is experienced. Debra has returned to work and would be available to speak with you by phone at your convenience. May I set up that appointment with for you? Sincerely, Neal A. My name is CDR Sianat Kamal and I am one of Debra’s clients. As she is out of the office, I am writing to you to seek status update on my case, and in particular, not to have to involve Mr. Montalvo anymore as he has moved on with his practice, and as I understand, no longer associated with Puckett & Faraj. I have been a client of your firm/Debra for over a year where my initial contact was with Mr. Montalvo, and have communicated with him from time to time including as recently as last month. I am requesting immediate attention to my case if I may. I’d like to bring your attention to my email below and request a response/status update by Friday the 2nd if you’d be so kind. Ms. Miller was supposed to get back to me with a status update within a couple of days from when we talked which was 7 Nov. After 10 days, I sent the email below to Ms. Miller via your front desk as I do not have her address. It’s been 12 days, I have not heard back from her as I am also unaware if she received my email. As the front desk has not responded to my request sent on 17 Nov., I chose not to make repeat request on the same inquiry (as I had been continually in the past), instead, I am contacting the firm/you. I also tried locating Ms. Miller on your website, she is not listed there as a member of your firm. It was my understanding that she is part of your firm when I was told she will be covering my case in Debra’s absence. I gathered all of your names from your website, I hope I have the correct email address. I feel concerned by the lack of consideration to my case, which I have addressed on multiple occasions, especially where in the recent past poor communications had resulted in missing some very important deadlines that we were to maintain with HRSA/EEO (the Agency/office I filed my case against). For future reference, in the event I do not receive response to my inquiries and/or need to seek support from you/firm, please advise who I may contact, as I had Mr. Montalvo in the past. I’d also like to note, the recurrent inadequate service from the front desk, especially since the change of personnel, has been daunting as it is discouraging to have to involve others/you every time my request is not attended (cc’ing Eric in my emails produced results w/o fail). It’d be in the best interest of all, as I’d personally be much grateful, if you could help improve the level of service. Thank you for your attention to my request. I hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, CDR Sianat Kamal (301) 452-0177 © Dear Eric: Hope all is well with you and yours. I am hoping not to have to reach out to you anymore to address any of my concerns in relations to my case. In Debra’s absence, as I noted above, I hope to establish a POC among the present partners of Puckett & Faraj and move forward with my case. Thank you for all of your help over the past year. I’d particularly like to note my appreciation for your prompt and steady responses, as well as your openness to attend to my inquiries over the period, especially as recently as last month even though you were/are no longer with the firm, exhibits loyalty, I bet you make the Marines proud! All the best. This email is to Ms. Miller, pls forward my email to her of you don’t mind, and also pls send me her email address. Thx! Dear Ms. Miller: Thank you for making the time to talk to me on 7 November as I needed to learn about the status of my case. As you know, we FedEx’ed our Final Report on 6 September, HRSA was supposed to have reviewed my Final Report and made recommendation as to the decision of my case and forward to the Surgeon General’s office for processing of the final outcome w/in 30 days from the receipt of my package. As of today, it has been 80 days that we sent my package and yet no communications from the HRSA EEO office. You assured that delays are expected and that you will check w/ them and advise me of the status of my case. Just FYI, we had to maintain very strict timeline set by HRSA which should hold for HRSA as well. I do not mind delays if it is warranted by my case, but there must be a protocol which they follow in circumstances as such. I’d like to know the present status, as well as the next steps, and the new timeline for the final outcome of my case. Unless you have already done so, I’d appreciate you can f/u w/ HRSA EEO ASAP and let me know the status. Many thx for covering my case in Debra’s absence.
